In an unseen turn of events yesterday night, Apple allow signing older versions of iOS firmware releases - some of them which haven’t been signed for many years.
Some of these firmware versions to signed in are rare and in between iOS 6.1.3 - iOS 11.2, thus they may depend on the Apple devices that you are wishing to downgrade. But, iOS 11.1.2 is not contained on them and this version is considered to download Cydia with online semi jailbreak. Nevertheless, many of these signed downloads can be downloaded third party apps with old or recent method releases.
Also for the most first time ever, this is a chance to ditch iOS 7.0 or later and downgrade back to the skeuomorphic days of iOS 6.
This is very likely an enigmatic one on Apple’s part, but it’s still a great chance for potential jailbreakers and those who are loving to download Cydia with downgrade their devices before Apple fixes the mistake.
To do that, you will need to download the firmware manually from their download links and then use iTunes to restore back to the firmware file you’ve downloaded. No one gets it via OTA. You should also take advantage of this opportunity to save blobs and download Cydia too if you haven’t already.
As always, you've to use the IPSWs to check the signing status of the firmware you want to downgrade to before moving forward. Apple could stop signing these older firmware versions at any moment, so don’t hesitate, take advantage of this sparse opportunity while you can.
Did you manage to downgrade? Share the experince and the chance for others.
